Porcelain Tooth Crowns

in Orlando, Florida

Porcelain tooth crowns are a permanent, natural looking option for people who have suffered extensive damage or decay to the visible portion of their tooth, or who have opted for dental implants to replace missing teeth.

Crafted from sturdy dental porcelain, your porcelain crowns will be custom fabricated to replicate the shape, color, texture, and translucency of your natural teeth.

Benefits of porcelain crowns

Porcelain crowns are a sturdy, long-lasting, natural looking solution to severe tooth damage. Used on their own or as part of a dental implant procedure, porcelain crowns completely replace the visible portion of the tooth, leaving you with teeth that look and function just like healthy, natural teeth.

How our porcelain crowns are made

At Orlando Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry & TMJ, we offer only the most advanced, state of the art options for our porcelain crowns.

When you come to us for porcelain crowns, we will first prepare your tooth, removing any decay, cleaning the area, and preparing the surface to better bond with your new porcelain crown. Once this is complete, we will take a precise mold of the tooth, and fit you with a temporary crown until your next visit.

We will send this mold to one of our carefully selected LVI laboratories, where your new porcelain crown will be expertly fabricated to the exact color, texture, and translucency of your natural teeth, and to assure that the fit is perfect.

When you arrive for your second appointment, we will carefully and permanently bond your new custom porcelain crown to your tooth, leaving you with a strong, sturdy, beautiful, natural looking new tooth.

Porcelain crowns and TMJ disorder

Temporomandibular joint disorder, or TMJ disorder, is a condition in which your bite becomes misaligned, causing a host of serious problems for many patients. One common cause of TMJ disorder is reconstructive dental work, including porcelain crowns. If not expertly sized and fitted to your proper bite, a porcelain crown can affect the structure of your Temporomandibular joint, causing misalignment that can lead to excess tooth wear, tooth loss, headaches, and other symptoms described in our TMJ Symptoms page.

As a trained and credentialed neuromuscular dentist, Dr. Castellini is familiar with these issues, and designs every porcelain crown procedure so that the alignment of your jaw is properly maintained. She also works only with LVI certified laboratories to fabricate porcelain crowns, assuring the best quality dental work for you.
