Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are an excellent solution to a variety of cosmetic and functional dental problems, including teeth that are:

Our Smile Catalog and Temporary Veneers

One major benefit of our veneer procedure (described below) is that our patients can choose just the right smile from our extensive “smile catalog”. This lets you actually see the different types of tooth shape, size, color, and other factors that go into your smile, while deciding on your permanent veneers.

Once we have selected the right veneers for you, we will send for a wax up, which is an artistic carving of the smile you chose, carved on a model of your own teeth.

This will give you a preview of how your smile is going to look before we actually reshape your teeth. It will also serve as a stent that will be used as your future temporaries on the day we reshape your teeth. Thus you will have an exact preview of how your smile will look on your own mouth.

Therefore you’ll be able to make any changes in length, shape, etc. before the veneers are completed at the lab.

Our Veneer Process

On your first visit – we will evaluate your smile and discuss with you the different types of veneers, and which type would be best for you. We’ll help you choose the right veneers from the smile catalog. Then we will take a mold of your teeth for the wax up.

On your second visit – the surfaces of your teeth will be reshaped to accept the veneers. Then we will take a precise impression of those reshaped teeth, and place temporaries that look exactly like the smile you chose. At this time we will be able to adjust the temporaries, if necessary, in your mouth. A photograph will be taken showing those changes, and sent to the lab. Thus we will eliminate any guessing and you will have the custom smile of your dreams.

On your third visit – We will remove the temporary veneers, clean the surfaces of your teeth thoroughly, and affix your permanent veneers, using a special bonding adhesive. Finally we will take x-rays to assure that they fit perfectly.
